They are experiencing unprecedented patient demand so can offer an incoming GP a full appointment schedule and a broad range of clinical presentations. The Position Mowbray Medical is seeking a permanent full-time vocally recognised General Practitioner to join the practice. A willingness to support registrars into the future would be welcome. The practice covers all aspects of general practice, including refugee health, women's and children's health, antenatal shared care, sexual health, chronic disease management, palliative care, mental health, school health, preventative and diagnostic medicine and travel medicine. Its patients come from a broad cross-section of ages and socioeconomic groups plus urban and rural industries. The practice cares for University of Tasmania and Australian Maritime College students, refugee groups (the majority of which are Bhutanese) and is also the designated surgery for the Launceston Church Grammar School boarding students. The practice also has a strong focus on medical education. Skills and Experience required AHPRA registration, or eligibility for same Minimum 2 years' medical work experience The Organisation Mowbray Medical prides itself on quality and professionalism, providing access to a high-quality health service in the northern suburbs of Launceston and greater community. Since then the practice has been extended twice and offers an up-to-date working environment with fully equipped consultation rooms and treatment areas. The GPs are supported by 2 registered nurses, an enrolled nurse, reception team and onsite practice manager. There is daily onsite pathology collection, a pharmacy next door and weekly allied health visiting services including a podiatrist, dietitian, psychologist and hearing service. The suburb of Mowbray is just 6 km from the business centre of Launceston, providing easy access to many other allied health professionals, specialists and hospital services. Appointments are booked at 15 minute intervals and software used is Best Practice. Surgery hours Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm Closed weekends and public holidays Billing model Bulk billing available for children under 16 years Bulk billing available for pensioners over 65 years Bulk billing available for ante-natal shared care Bulk billing available for CDM billings Bulk billing available for mental health care plans Mowbray Medical is an accredited GP training practice and supports medical students from the University of Tasmania.
