Registrar Palliative Care – NSW Health Join us as a Registrar Palliative Care on a fixed‑term full‑time contract from February to May 2026. You will start at Greenwich Hospital and move to Neringah Hospital in March 2026, providing palliative care reviews to inpatients and working within HammondCare’s Mission and Mission in Action framework under the supervision of the Specialist‑in‑charge. The role is offered by HammondCare, a NSW Health‑affiliated organisation that recognises all NSW Health transferrable entitlements. The essence of the role Provide in‑patient care to people admitted to the Palliative Care unit. Liaise with other members of the multi‑disciplinary team to deliver patient care. Maintain an appropriate standard of personal professionalism at all times. Implement a personal learning program for the term in conjunction with your Specialist Supervisor. Participate in after‑hours care of palliative care inpatients. About you Unrestricted NSW Medical Board Registration or eligibility for Unrestricted NSW Registration. Primary Medical degree, eligible for Medical Board registration, and a minimum of two years supervised practice as an RMO. Experience in Palliative Medicine or a related specialty with competence consistent with your level of training. Strong administrative and computer skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Current driver’s licence. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills. Organisational ability and ability to supervise others. Demonstrated compassion and caring attitude. Desirable Advanced palliative medicine trainee (RACP, AChPM) or other accredited trainees. Previous training in oncology or other relevant specialities. Experience in medical research and quality assurance. Experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. Working towards post‑graduate qualifications in Palliative Medicine or related specialty.
