About the Position We are looking to welcome a Youth Worker to provide time-limited complex youth work intervention to children and young people. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the wellbeing of children and families. Level 3 SCHCADS Award. Hourly Rate $ – $ inclusive of casual loading + Superannuation. Casual position. Working hours can include early mornings, evenings and weekends (with applicable loading). Key Responsibilities Practically support and encourage school participation and relationship with educational environment. Follow direction from lead practitioners to ensure practical support to children and young people is achieved. Provide transport to children and young people for case goals to be achieved. About You Certificate IV in a relevant discipline (youth work, community services) or studying a relevant tertiary qualification. At least two (2) years' experience providing complex youth work to young people in a child protection context or who have experienced trauma and disruptions in attachment. Cultural awareness and an understanding of how to communicate and work effectively with families from different socio-economic and cultural backgrounds, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Knowledge of lifespan and developmental stages for children and young people. Other Requirements Eligibility for a Working with Children Check or professional exemption. Current driver's licence.
