Based at our Springfield campus, these roles will be part of a landmark moment in Queensland healthcare at Mater Hospital Springfield — opening early As Mater's first new public hospital in over 60 years, this state of the art facility will meet the needs of the growing Greater Springfield region. With 174 public beds, ICU, maternity, emergency and surgical services, it's set to care for over 200,000 patients annually. You will support the theatre and CSSD team in activities that ensure the provision of a safe and efficient sterilising service. You will also participate in hospital quality management systems in the unit to ensure a continuous improvement focus. Your enthusiasm and skills will see you seamlessly integrate into this outstanding team, assisting to provide an exceptional level of care and to hit-the-ground-running. About you Must hold / OR Be enrolled in a Certificate III in Sterilisation Services (mandatory) Relevant experience and knowledge in undertaking Sterile Services functions at an operational level within a Hospital or other large organisations An understanding of a commitment to the Mater Mission, Values and their practical relevance to Sterile Services issues Effective communication skills with staff, customers and service partners and the ability to function as part of a multidisciplinary team Experience in Risk Management and Continuous Quality Improvement Systems and a commitment to the introduction of Best Practice Experience in Workplace Health and Safety issues in Sterile Services Experience in loan set processing highly advantageous Experience in Endoscopy Scope Cleaning is desirable Mater is Queensland's largest not-for-profit healthcare provider, delivering exceptional care to nearly 700,000 patients each year across 11 (soon to be 12) hospitals.
