About This Opportunity Volunteers need to be responsible in relation to their school, their team‑mates, and to SchoolKits for Congo. They need to be communicative and helpful. It helps to be creative and have a positive attitude to problem‑solving SchoolKits for Congo will be glad to provide a reference for active volunteers. SchoolKits for Congo is a project of Rotary Australia World Community Service, in partnership with a local charity registered in Goma, DRC. It provides SchoolKits free of charge to refugee children in Goma, improving access to education and providing employment for widowed mothers who sew the kits. This enables them to house and educate their own children. Photos of the recipient children with their gifts are returned to the supporting school community as thanks. Your efforts will give traumatised children encouragement, shelter and access to education.
