Naturalwell Australia Pty Ltd – Sydney CBD NSW We are seeking a Junior Accountant with 2–3 years’ experience to join our finance team in the construction industry. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, proactive and currently studying towards CA or CPA , and who wants to deepen their experience in project and job-costing accounting. Candidates with experience in construction, architecture, engineering or similar project-based industries are highly regarded. About the role Key responsibilities Accounts Payable & Receivable Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and match to purchase orders and delivery dockets. Prepare payments in line with contract terms and lien waiver requirements. Manage accounts receivable, prepare customer billings and follow up on outstanding payments. Maintain AP/AR aging reports. Job Costing & Project Support Assist in tracking job costs including labour, materials, equipment and subcontractors. Maintain cost codes and ensure expenses are correctly allocated to each project. Support project managers with budget vs actual reporting. Assist with preparation of Work-in-Progress (WIP) schedules. Payroll Support Assist with monthly payroll. Verify timecards and ensure compliance with prevailing wage. Maintain certified payroll records for projects. Financial Reporting & Recordkeeping Prepare monthly financial summaries for management. Assist with month-end close including journal entries, accruals and reconciliations. Maintain accurate digital and physical records to support audits. Subcontractor & Compliance Support Track subcontractor agreements, certificates of insurance. Assist with subcontractor payments and lien releases. Maintain compliance logs for safety, insurance and licensing. Equipment & Inventory Tracking Monitor equipment usage logs for billing and cost allocation. Assist in tracking material inventory and reconciling discrepancies. General Accounting & Administration Assist with bank reconciliations and petty cash. Support budget and forecast preparation. Communicate with vendors, subcontractors and project managers. Perform data entry, document filing and ensure accounting system data integrity. About you 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting role. Experience in construction / building / architecture / engineering industry is highly desirable. Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or related field. Currently studying towards CA or CPA (or planning to). Strong attention to detail and excellent time management. Good communication skills and ability to work with project and site teams.
