22nd November, 2025 Engineering Trades Australia is currently recruiting two experienced Underground Diesel Fitters to join a well-established hard-rock gold mining operation at Cracow Gold Mine. We are seeking candidates with solid underground experience who can hit the ground running and contribute to a high-performing maintenance team. This opportunity offers the choice of permanent full-time employment or contract / casual engagement, depending on your preferred working arrangement. About the Role You will be responsible for maintenance, diagnostics, repair, and breakdown support across a diverse fleet of underground mobile equipment. Working as part of the site’s maintenance team, you will ensure critical production and ancillary machinery remains safe, reliable, and operational across all shifts. This role is suited to trade-qualified Diesel Fitters with underground exposure who can work independently, communicate effectively with production crews, and maintain high safety standards. What We’re Looking For Minimum 12 months underground experience (3+ years strongly preferred) Solid technical background working on heavy underground mobile plant Experience with fault-finding, breakdown response, scheduled servicing and component repairs Ability to work autonomously and in a small, fast-paced UG maintenance team Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and operational best practice Relevant trade qualification (Diesel Fitter / HD Mechanic / Mobile Plant Mechanic or similar) Current underground medicals, tickets, and site requirements (or ability to obtain) Permanent Employment Package $ Negotiable pending on experience Long-term, secure role within an established hard-rock operation Stable roster and consistent flight availability Contract / Casual Engagement Option Competitive hourly rates (negotiable on experience) Weekly pay Ongoing rostered work with strong potential for extension Suitable for candidates preferring flexibility or ABN arrangements Key Site & Roster Details 8 / 6 – 7 / 7 day / night roster rotation Thursday flights available ex-Brisbane and Sunshine Coast Start Date : Thursday, 27 November Working on a modern fleet including Epiroc trucks CAT loaders Sandvik jumbos Epiroc production drills Auxiliary gear (charge-up equipment, ITs, LV fleet & more) Click Apply or email Apply For Job #J-18808-Ljbffr
