Overview Australian Red Cross Lifeblood is seeking a Nursing Assistant for a permanent part‑time role in Dubbo, NSW. The position offers a rotating roster from Tuesday to Saturday, with a salary starting from $ per hour plus benefits and salary packaging. Responsibilities Greet and interview potential donors to assess eligibility and suitability for donation. Create a donor experience that encourages repeat visits. Complete routine blood pressure and haemoglobin tests. Set up and operate blood collection machines and equipment. Safely insert and remove needles to collect whole blood and plasma. Monitor donors post‑donation and assist with rebooking future donations. Collaborate with the team to achieve collection targets. Qualifications No prior experience in blood collection required; comprehensive on‑the‑job and online training will be provided. Comfortable with needles and biological materials. Occasionally lift between required kilograms (training will cover safe handling). Support team culture, frequently stand, walk and bend while setting up and packing down machines and blood products. Flexible to work varied shifts on a fortnightly rotating roster from Monday to Saturday, including weekends and afternoon shifts. Capacity to travel to the local training hub.
