Acumen Health is Australia’s exclusive provider of Occupational Rehabilitation services to the Australian Defence Force (ADF). As an ADF Rehabilitation Consultant, you will apply clinical reasoning to support ADF personnel who have sustained a physical and/or psychological injury. Responsibilities Take a holistic care approach and work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehabilitation to healing. Perform assessments relevant to your area of clinical expertise (e.g., functional capacity evaluations, worksite assessments, ergonomic assessments, activities of daily living assessments). Collaborate with stakeholders including the employee, medical specialists, other treatment providers and allied health professionals. Develop, implement and monitor rehabilitation plans. Adhere to KPIs based on service delivery outcomes with a genuine person-centred focus and goal setting. Maintain working hours that support work/life balance (7:30am – 3:30pm) with on-base work at RAAF Base Richmond. Receive support and mentorship through onboarding, shadowing and ongoing development to build technical knowledge. Qualifications Current unrestricted registration or membership with the relevant industry body (AHPRA, ESSA, ASORC/RCAA or AASW). Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Psychology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, Osteopathy or Social Work. Australian Citizenship. Strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to achieve common goals. Passion to help people rehabilitate. Occupational rehabilitation experience will be highly regarded.
