Siemens Mobility isseeking a highly motivated Technical Manager to join our dynamic team and workat the forefront of new propulsion technology for mainline rail vehicles. Asthe Technical Manager for one of our Hydrogen Vehicles, you will play acritical role in overseeing the technical aspects of the design, development,and production of one of our most future-oriented vehicle projects. Thisposition requires a deep understanding of hydrogen fuel cell technology, propulsionsystems, vehicle integration engineering, and project management.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the engineeringteam responsible for the design and development of a hydrogen-powered vehicle,ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications in alignment withSiemens Mobility's standards. Collaborate withcross-functional international teams, including other engineering entities,production, and supply chain, to drive product development and ensure seamlessintegration of hydrogen fuel cell technology. You will in particular interfacewith North American teams at the West Coast, therefore collaborating acrossmultiple time zones. Coordinate withexternal partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance withindustry standards and regulations, while reflecting Siemens Mobility'scommitment to quality and safety. Monitor and manageproject budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful projectdelivery, adhering to Siemens Mobility's project management practices.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in ElectricalEngineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree ispreferred. Minimum of 5 years ofexperience in rail engineering or a related field, preferably with a focus onhydrogen fuel cell technology and/or propulsion systems. knowledge of hydrogenfuel cell technology, including system design, integration, and performanceoptimization. Proven experience inproject management, leading international cross-functional teams, anddelivering projects on time and within budget. Exceptionalcommunication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborateeffectively in English language with internal and external stakeholders. Germanlanguage skills are a plus. Willingness to travel internationally, inparticular in Europe and the United States. Strong leadershipabilities, with a track record of managing and motivating a technical teamwhile embodying our values and culture. Excellentproblem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technicalissues in a fast-paced environment, consistent with Siemens Mobility'scommitment to quality and efficiency. Familiarity withrelevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO and safetycertifications, in accordance with Siemens Mobility's guidelines.What else should Iknow?
