Live and work in Vienna, one of the world’s most vibrant cities. The city is home to around 2 million people. Despite its size, Vienna retains the feel of a large town. Part of that is down to the numerous parks, woodlands and outlying hills, perfect for families.

Your New Role  

Venergi, in collaboration with Wien Energie, is currently developing several projects at the Simmeringer Haide site that, in addition to the existing facility, have a higher logistical demand. The task of the project manager for infrastructure is to implement the current logistics studies and their respective results. As a Project Manager specializing in infrastructure, you will be responsible for managing following phases: planning, developing, and implementing the infrastructure of the project. Your primary focus will be on facilitating both inbound and outbound transportation via truck and rail transport. You will collaborate closely with a team of engineers, planners, and other professionals, reporting to the general project leaders for large-scale projects to ensure that projects meet technical requirements, comply with regulatory standards, and adhere to budgetary and timeline constraints.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Conducting site assessments and implementing logistics feasibility studies If necessary, supervising further logistics. Planning, Execution by monitor timelines, implement quality control, and report progress. Stakeholder Management by identify and engage stakeholders, facilitate meetings, and maintain effective communication. Resource Management by coordinate project teams, manage budgets, and oversee procurement. Regulatory Compliance: Secure necessary permits and ensure adherence to regulations and standards e.g. Austrian Railway Act. Risk Management by identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and prepare contingency plans. Collaborating with the project teams, suppliers, and authorities to obtain permits. Identifying opportunities to optimize rail infrastructure projects in terms of cost, efficiency, and environmental compatibility.

About You:  

For this role, it would be beneficial to have the following qualifications and experience:

Completed degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualification. 8+ years demonstrable project management experience in rail and truck infrastructure projects. Proficiency in project management software Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively. Willingness to occasionally travel and work outdoors.

Remuneration –  the salary for this position will be at least €78,960. Overpayment may be negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
