Our client seeks a dynamic and experienced VPof Finance to lead their financial operations and contribute to their growth and success.

As the VP of Finance, you will lead financial operations across all verticals, ensuring efficient financial management, compliance across all operations and clear communication with various stakeholders, including investors, auditors, and regulators. This role demands a strategic thinker with a robust background in finance, ideally within scale-up environments, venture capital, private equity, or the investment sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead finance & investor relations: Direct and oversee the Finance, Accounting, Controlling and Investor Relations teams, setting clear goals and ensuring high performance.

  • Oversee financial operations: Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash management, liquidity planning, annual reports, and profit and loss statements.

  • Develop financial strategies: Create and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain investor relations: Cultivate strong relationships with institutional investors, providing transparent and accurate financial reporting and insights.

  • Engage with stakeholders: Facilitate discussions and provide critical information to regulators, tax advisors, and auditors.

  • Collaborate with senior management: Work with other senior leaders to support strategic initiatives and investments.

  • Drive process improvement: Lead continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and systems.



Qualifications
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

  • Experience: At least 10 years of experience in finance, preferably within scale-ups, venture capital, private equity, or investment management, as well as Investment Banking or Big Four Consulting.

  • Adaptability: Comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic and fully digital environment with flat hierarchies

  • Entrepreneurial mindset: Demonstrates a proactive and innovative approach.

  • Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing teams.

  • Sector expertise: Strong understanding of financial reporting, management of international transactions and compliance in the investment sector.

  • Skills: Excellent analytical, decision-making, and leadership skills; proficient in financial software and Excel; familiarity with investment management platforms is a plus.

  • Regulatory knowledge: Experience with Austrian Accounting (UGB, Tax).

  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders.

  • Language proficiency: Fluent in German and English.
