Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.Our businessYour tasksResponsible for the short term optimization of production units in Schwechat refinery through implementation, maintenance and continuous development of advanced process control and online optimization technologies.Find and evaluate optimization potential with your own ideas and through discussion with operations, scheduling, planning and/or external expertsManage the implementation of new APC/RTO applications with operations, process control and partner companiesAdvise and train plant managers, process engineers and plant operators regarding optimized plant operation and use of APC/RTO toolsEnsure a high level of plant operator knowledge in alignment with the plant manager regarding plant operation principles through support in day-to-day work and through trainingSolve upcoming process, process control or operational technology problems together with internal or external supportAdapt and improve existing applications continuouslyYour profileMaster's degree in Chemical engineering, process engineering, process control or similar.At least 7 years of relevant work experience.Base knowledge and deep interest in Process Control and Operations Technology as well as an understanding of the main drivers of refinery economicsAdvanced IT skills and an awareness for cyber securityGood analytical and social skills and the ability to solve problems regarding Process, Process Control or Operations TechnologyStrong team and communication skills as well as higher ability to adapt to the needs of different user groups.Fluency in German and English.What to expect from OMVWe believe that we can only evolve and thrive as a company with a highly diverse mix of employees and by ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
