One vacant position for a full-time Senior Scientist (m/w/d) at the Chair of Applied Mathematics at the Department Mathematics and Information Technology. Start from the beginning of August 2025 on a permanent basis. Salary Group B1 according to the Uni-KV, monthly minimum salary excl. Szlg.: EUR 4.752,30 for 40 hours per week (14 x per year). The main task will be teaching applied mathematics in German; the topics will include e.g., numerical analysis, special lectures for students in mechanical engineering, vibration theory, multibody systems, computer science etc. In addition, one should participate in the department's organization and administration. Research in applied mathematics is expected. Requirements: Ph. D. in Mathematics, two or three years as a postdoc. Experience in teaching and research in applied mathematics (e.g. optimization, numerical analysis, inverse problems, stochastic/statistic or some related areas). Publications in internationally reviewed journals.
