high-performance materials, manufacturing processes and products. By developing specific computer-aided

technologies, we accelerate materials based innovation including the digitalization of the manufacturing chain

**Your Profile Tasks & Responsibilities**
- Academic degree in mechanical engineering,

materials science, metallurgy, physics or
similar studies.
- Professional experience in the field of finite

element simulation, preferably with DEFORM,
Abaqus or Ansys.
- Intermediate or proficient programming skills

with Python, Matlab, Julia or equivalent.
- Experience with microstructural models and

plasticity beneficial.

- Good oral and written communication skills in

English.
- Scientific curiosity, teamworking and

communication skills, initiative.
- Finite element analysis at different length

scales.
- Development of material models for

microstructural changes and plastic behavior of
metallic materials.
- Supervision of Master and PhD students.
- Coordination with other numerical and

experimental research groups at MCL,
university and industry partners.
- Application and management of research and

engineering projects.
- Publishing of scientific work in international

journals and conference participation.

**Process Simulation with Material Focus**

A permanent employment contract with immediate start and a gross monthly salary of at least € 3.800
(40 h/week). Overpayment dependent on your qualification and experience possible.
