Senior Claims Consultant

The Senior Claims Consultant is responsible for supporting the JLT Public Sector/LGIS General Claims Manager in the delivery of claims determination and data management for the provision of an efficient and effective Claims Management service to the Members of the LGISWA.

We will count on you to:

  • Undertake technical claims management of general claims (liability, property and motor) including gathering information, determining Policy coverage, liability and quantum, preparing correspondence, calculating settlements and processing payments â under the direction of the Manager, General Claims and in accordance with claim management guidelines.

  • Instruct and liaise with external lawyers and investigators for litigated claims.

  • Represent Members in Minor Case proceedings.

  • Assist as required, Portfolio Manager and Manager, General Claims with the preparation, monitoring and analysis of claims data including maintenance of the LGIS Claims Reference Guideline and other claim procedures and systems.

  • Identify and pursue all opportunities of achieving appropriate risk advice and timely claim resolution for civil liability claims, to achieve effective financial outcomes.

  • Provide administrative and claim management support in a team environment as required, to ensure the LGIS achieves timely outcomes in accordance with agreed service delivery standards.

  • Onsite Client Servicing â Delivering of results and recommendations, as required.

  • Reviewing Policy wordings and advising of any âgapsâ or necessary changes.

  • A law degree is preferred, but not essential.
