Customer Support Engineer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a customer-focused engineer join our team in NSW team, who will be supporting our Ultrasound portfolio with opportunities to be cross-trained to other modalities. This is a critical customer-facing role with responsibilities of maintaining and developing robust customer relationships and providing expert technical advice on maintenance, installation, and servicing of our medical equipment (software & hardware) in line with our regulations and policies.
In this role you will be supporting mainly Sydney and other locations in NSW and/or AU as required by the business.
Your role:
- Providing best-in-class service which technical support, corrective & preventative maintenance, repairs, commissioning & installation of equipment and software & hardware upgrades.
- Actively participating in the sales process and providing expert technical support throughout the entire life cycle of our customer relationships (from pre-sales through to implementation and post-sales support).
- Taking a lead in managing and supporting technical escalations through to resolution ensuring all stakeholders are continually updated on progress according to the company process.Â
- Determining the most cost-effective repair/solution to minimize customer downtime.
- Be able to work reasonable additional hours outside business hours at such times as are necessary to efficiently and effectively carry out the job role as defined by Philips from time to time.
Youâre the right fit if:
- A degree-level education or equivalent in Electronics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Biomedical Engineering
- 2 â 3 yearsâ experience in service maintenance and or installation activities in relevant Medical Device Industries, Equipment Manufacturers, Service Companies, Public Health System, or the Armed Forces
- Experience with Ultrasound would be advantageous but not required.
- Strong IT skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- You will also need to hold a full AU driverâs license and a Police Check will form part of the recruitment process.
