Plenti is a fintech lender, providing faster, fairer loans through smart technology and outstanding
customer service. We are a dynamic and innovative business that is growing strongly. By continuing to deliver better customer value and experience we are taking market share from incumbent players in the personal lending, renewable energy and automotive finance markets.
We are a fast moving and ambitious organisation that seeks to bring in smart and capable people who can take ownership of their role to help the business continue to grow and thrive. With over 200 people based in Australia we are a small enough organisation that everyone can make a difference but we have very big ambitions that our passionate team are working to deliver.
Plenti is still a founder led business that began in 2014 and is now listed on the ASX with annual
revenue of over $200 million and a loan book over $2 billion.
The Security Administrator is a key member of our Technology team, responsible for safeguarding Plenti's information assets and systems against cyber threats, unauthorized access, and data breaches.
This role will provide an exciting opportunity to work in a fast pace, dynamic environment where your expertise will contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of our security systems and measures, monitor security systems, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
This role involves a blend of technical acumen, analytical skills, and a deep understanding of security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data.
What will you be doing?
- Implement and manage security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
- Identify, monitor, and define the requirements of the overall security of the system.
- Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and analyse security alerts to identify and counteract threats.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
- Develop and maintain the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Ensure that the organisation’s data and infrastructure are protected by enabling the appropriate security controls.
- Participate in the change management process, ensuring that security measures are integrated.
- Provide security awareness training to all employees to ensure consistent adherence to policies and procedures.
- Manage and configure security tools such as firewalls, antivirus software, patch management systems, etc.
- Stay current on IT security trends and news, including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes, and the development of new attacks and threat vectors.
- Recommend security enhancements and purchases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an IT security role.
- Strong understanding of firewalls, VPNs, data loss prevention, IDS/IPS, web proxy, and security audits.
- Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.
- Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate well across teams
Working at Plenti means joining a team that is high-performing, diverse, customer-focused and collaborative. It’s a place where everyone can “make it happen” and share in the results and success. If being in a dynamic industry as part of a market-leading fintech sounds like you, then come help us reshape Australia’s financial eco-system for the good.
In return, you will enjoy a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship to take your career further. We offer hybrid work with WFH days, flexible working hours and volunteer and study leave to develop your skills. We also have monthly social events, office snacks, company Townhalls and D&I initiatives and events to connect.
Plenti is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce. We encourage people from different backgrounds to apply, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and people with disabilities. When you apply, let us know any reasonable adjustments you may need during the interview process so we can accommodate you.Not what you are looking for? Try these related job searches
