The opportunity

The Senior Workforce Demand Analyst is the SA lead in planning, development and the analysis of both customer demand and staff data to ensure that RDNS Silverchain is responsive to customer needs and plays a key role in supporting the SA Operation team to deliver exceptional service.

Accountable for provision of both strategic forecasting and use and application of data use day-to-day planning they will be responsible for long range aspects of workforce planning, developing operational strategic reporting and operational resource planning.

Key responsibilities

  • Initiate and drive continuous improvement of rostering process through data analyses and reporting to the SA Operations team. Seek ways to enhance operational efficiencies through effective workforce planning.
  • Provision of workforce analytics/reporting for executive, senior managers and peers to enable informed decision making on matters relating to the workforce.
  • Review and manage all member contact across all channels to identify issues, gaps and highlight impact and solutions to resolve.
  • Establish key relationships and work closely with the leadership team, understanding the strategic activities and translating them into member contact volumes as well as the impacts on these activities to the Operations team.
  • Analyse and interpret information, undertake research, review internal and external workforce trends, identifying emerging issues and risks to organisational capability to provide advice, explanation and recommendations on appropriate actions and solutions.
  • Investigate and analyse data to identify errors and system issues and work with relevant areas to implement remedial action which continually improves data reliability and quality.
  • Develop and improve workforce systems and analytics within the constraints of the existing workforce systems, statutory and business reporting requirements to meet the needs of the organisation.
  • Monitor and review programs and their implementation and prepare internal and external reports, including the Workforce Profile to inform management of performance and support decision making in relation to the workforce analysis function.
  • Develop targeted analysis of current service provisions and performance ensuring that suggestions for process improvement/service delivery are linked to both optimised scheduling, planning and staff engagement. Prepare reports and recommend solutions for implementation to management.
  • Provide a high level of advice and support on all workforce planning matters.
  • Manage identified projects, including developing plans, identifying and coordinating resources to deliver programs and initiatives that meet organisational workforce analysis needs.
  • Create integrated database tracking tools for staffing shrinkage patterns to optimise resourcing forecasts.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in relevant planning/management tools or financial discipline will be viewed favorably.
  • 7+ years prior experience in a strategic workforce planning role in a large operational service-based business.
  • Strong management, administration and team coordination experience within a fast-moving environment.
  • Experience in developing, managing and working with budgets, plans and performance KPIs and targets.
  • Evidence of significant contribution to organisational transformation and the ongoing management of effective business partnering services.
  • Highly analytical and capable of genuine creativity in dealing with strategic challenges.
  • Strong time management, organisational skills and a proactive approach to business needs.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct research and gather information to prepare complex workforce reports for an Executive audience.
