About the opportunity
Westgold Resources are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Emergency Services Officer (ESO) to maintain and monitor all aspects of the Emergency Management Framework across all Westgold Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for training/mentoring the Emergency Response team personnel within the operations.
This role will be offered on a permanent 8/6 roster across Westgold's Cue Gold Operations.
Westgold's operations around the regional town of Cue encompass the historic mining centres of Big Bell, Cuddingwarra, Day Dawn and Tuckabianna. This includes two of Western Australia's most historic and iconic gold producing mines in Big Bell and Great Fingall.
The role includes
- Compliance with the Emergency Response Plans and Procedures
- Coach and mentor the Emergency Response Team personnel within the operations
- Maintaining and inspecting all emergency response equipment
- Compliance with all Poison Permit Medical protocols
- Compliance with Westgold's Medical procedures and processes
- Administer medical treatment as required to operational personnel
- Conduct consults with Company Doctors as required
- Maintain and inspect all medical equipment and medical drug registers
- Ensure weekly, monthly and statistical data is collated as per site and corporate requirements
- Complete tasks as per allocated from the Regional WHS Managers
What do I need?
- Certificate IV in Health Care or equivalent
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in operation medical response
- Demonstrated Emergency Response in the resources industry (UG desirable)
- Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue including BG4 (required)
- C Class Driver's License
- HLTPAT005 - Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing
- Excellent time management and organization skills with the ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated capability to manage projects, meet deadlines and operate independently
- Excellent verbal and written skills
