Supervisor - Public Practice Accountant

About the role:

You will work with the Partner and Senior Manager in one of our tax and advisory teams across the full suite of work for a diverse range of clients.

Your role will require you to drive team performance so that compliance deadlines are met, and operational targets achieved.

As a supervisor, your work will be a blend of:

  • Tax compliance work,
  • General and special purpose financial reports,
  • Identifying Div 7A, CGT, GST and FBT issues,
  • Delegating, training and reviewing the work of others.

About you:

  • You are a degree qualified accountant with a minimum of 4 years' experience, ideally in a public practice tax and advisory role.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a supervising position is preferred.
  • CA/CPA qualified or working towards is preferred.
  • Proven experience in successfully managing a client list and meeting budget and deadlines.
  • Proven experience in training and developing a team.
  • Proven ability in effective time management, forward planning and delegation skills.
  • You have superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate professionally.
  • Professional inter-personal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Strong Australian technical tax knowledge.
