An exciting opportunity for an energetic and innovative individual for the permanent position of Head of Department - Junior Secondary at Yeppoon State High School. As Head of Department, you will be responsible for leading our Junior Secondary School with a focus on the engagement and wellbeing of students in Years 7 and 8 and the transition of students from our local feeder schools.

About the Role:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the curriculum focus and school department in developing and committing to a shared vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Engage in lifelong learning and professional development.
- Build partnerships with students, parents, agencies, and community groups.
- Be future-oriented and strategic.
- Understand legislation and policies impacting on the school department, students and staff.
