Application Engineer for Calibration, Optimization & Functional Testing f/m/d

In this exciting role with main focus on electrification and decarbonization, you will be responsible for product and application support for our state-of-the-art products of our department, in particular AVL CAMEO. Your responsibilities as a support expert will range from commissioning and acceptance testing to initial implementation, training, and personal support for selected customers. You will actively shape pilot application projects and act as feature owner for innovative product features. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Product and application support for the product AVL CAMEO
  2. Commissioning, acceptance testing, initial introduction, and training
  3. Expert support - personal agent for designated customers
  4. Realization of pilot application projects, addressing open issues and new requirements
  5. Feature owner for new product features
  6. Support with product documentation
  7. Support of test engineers in the simulator environment
  8. Support sales activities with technical customer presentations and demonstrations
  9. Building a knowledge bridge to the assigned application partners in the AVL Affiliate

YOUR PROFILE:

  1. Completed education (Secondary Technical College, University of Applied Sciences or University of Technology) in the fields of electronics, mechanical engineering, controller engineering, or similar with a willingness to learn the missing parts from other disciplines
  2. Experience is an advantage: calibration, powertrain, e-propulsion, fuel cells, ADAS, traction batteries, hybrid drives, ECU/xCU calibration, driving behavior assessment/application, simulation
  3. Ideally, initial experience in customer care, commissioning, and technical publications (lectures/conferences)
  4. Team player
  5. Very good knowledge of German and English
  6. Willingness to travel (maximum) 30 percent worldwide

Annual Remuneration: Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obligated to state the annual gross remuneration (full-time) for this position as a basis for negotiation: €52,300.00. The employee will be classified according to the Collective Agreement for Employees of Industry (Collective Bargaining Agreement of the Automotive Industry). We will, in any case, offer market-conforming payment taking qualifications and professional experience into account.
