JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement highly scalable and performant Java-based applications using Spring Boot.
- Work with Kafka to implement and manage event-driven architectures.
- Build and maintain robust RESTful APIs for seamless communication between systems.
- Write complex SQL queries and ensure high-performance database interactions.
- Leverage AWS services such as S3, RDS, and CloudWatch to optimize backend systems.
- Experience in working with distributed systems ensuring reliability and availability.
- Use Docker and Kubernetes (K8S) to containerize, deploy, and manage applications efficiently.
- Implement security best practices, including the use of Public/Private Key encryption, X509 certificates, and mTLS for secure communication.
- Work with DevOps, infrastructure, and front-end teams to ensure smooth integration and deployment pipelines.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers to elevate the overall technical capability of the team.
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
- Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
- Proficiency in Kafka for building scalable, event-driven systems.
- Expertise in integrations including RESTful API design and implementation.
- Strong understanding of SQL for managing and optimizing database interactions.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
- Practical experience working in distributed systems and understanding their complexities.
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes (K8S).
- Experience working in Linux environments.
- Strong focus on security (working with Public/Private Key, X509 certificates, mTLS).
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Senior Lead Engineer - 8+ years of relevant experience in backend engineering, working with the Java based technologies as mentioned above.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven track record in architecting and developing enterprise-level systems.
