Manager, Community Risk Reduction Partnerships

The South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) is an all hazards emergency services agency, serving communities through dedicated volunteers and employees.
The CFS works alongside the SA Metropolitan Fire Service, State Emergency Service, South Australian Fire and Emergency Services Commission, local government, non-government organisations/community groups and business/industry to help with strategies for fuel reduction and to educate the community about bushfires, fire safety and disaster resilience. The CFS serves country communities through dedicated volunteers delivering professional fire and rescue services to outer metropolitan, regional and rural South Australia. With over 13,500 volunteers contributing in excess of 3 million hours per annum to the safety of the community, CFS's vision is to build on their reputation as a trusted, responsive and effective community-based fire and emergency service organisation.
An exciting opportunity exists within the CFS to be part of the Community Risk and Resilience Directorate. As the Manager of the Community Risk Reduction Partnerships team, you will have the opportunity to drive strategic and evidence-driven change to how the CFS undertakes partnerships and community engagement to promote bushfire readiness, resilience and drive behavioural change.
You will lead and support your team, identify, develop and maintain partnerships with key stakeholders, and drive strategic coordination and collaboration with regional CFS counterparts. This role presents an opportunity to work in a politically sensitive and high-profile environment with many dynamic and often competing external legal, political, environmental and social influences. With responsibility for contributing to CFS's community safety initiatives, you will oversee the innovation and maintenance of tools, resources and programs to enable South Australian community members to take responsibility for bushfire safety and disaster resilience. This includes overseeing the effective implementation of a strategic planning and uplift initiative.
