Core Network Support Engineer

Main Responsibilities:
- Customer (one of the major Austrian mobile network operators) facing support engineer in a vendor-network operator environment (on-site).
- Maintenance and support activities of voice core network elements in a cloud environment (network change operations, upgrades, processing/tracing trouble tickets, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, inspection tasks, etc.).
- Acting as an interface between the network operator technical team and vendor level 3 support.
- Providing technical support for mobile and fixed voice services.

Other Requirements:- University degree in computer science, electrical engineering/telecommunication, software engineering, or equivalent.
- Solid IT background - computer and transmission hardware, IP networking, solid Linux know-how; knowledge/experience of Cloud Technologies (Openstack, Container) is a plus.
- Network support experience, at least 2-3 years.
- Working knowledge of the following telecommunication protocols: ISUP, MAP, SIP, Diameter.
- Mobile and fixed voice core know-how.
- IMS architecture know-how is beneficial.
- Acting as a reliable team member in an international multicultural team.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
- Very good knowledge of the English language is mandatory.
- German knowledge is not necessary but is nice to have.
- Start day as soon as possible.
This job is suitable for Austrian (EU) citizens or applicants with a permanent residence permit in Austria. Applicants from third countries are only eligible with a long-term/permanent residence permit in Austria and unlimited access to the job market in Austria (Red-White-Red Card is NOT suitable).
