RED is delighted to be working with a global client, a leader in innovation in their field, to recruit a Head of Business IT to join their team in Vienna on a permanent full-time basis.

This Senior appointment will play a key role in creating strong partnerships that connect the business and IT functions – working with colleagues to shape, prioritise, influence and successfully deliver changes in the business and technology areas.

As a Head of Business IT, you will help with guiding colleagues in the selection of IT solutions and partners, definition of changes that are needed in the business, all based on clear plans and designs, overseeing projects & initiatives to ensure successful results.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identifying relevant stakeholders and implementing efficient plans for communication and engagement.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders/ business partners at different seniority levels including C-level, fostering collaboration and trust.
  • Prioritising and evaluating demand for enabled IT changes that are aligned with the organisational objectives.
  • Prioritising and shaping the organisation’s roadmap to be aligned with the goals of the business.
  • Ensuring successful collaboration, governance, delivery and adherence to scope, time and cost.
  • Promoting and highlighting effective solutions and innovative technologies for organisational benefit.

Key requirements:

  • Several years of experience in technologies and applications: ERP – ideally in Microsoft Dynamics365 Business Central; APIs, Power BI, Point of Sale, Process Automation, IoT.
  • Strong skills in building relationships with stakeholders at all seniority levels.
  • Solid track record in connecting business and technology in corporate HQ, HR, finance, including data and analytics.
  • Proficiency in extracting data and process requirements using different techniques.
  • Experience with different business case techniques such as decision analysis, negotiation, financial analysis, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Higher education degree in Information Technology, or other related fields.
  • Business fluent English and German language skills are required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel as required.
