About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with the Transformation Office, Strategy and Planning, and Group Finance teams to ensure strategic initiatives are seamlessly integrated into budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes. You will directly contribute to successfully executing the company's strategic objectives, providing critical financial insights to senior leadership and driving the financial performance of key transformation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development and implementation of a governance framework that drives transparency and accountability of the financial performance of the Transformation Office strategic initiatives.
- Support the development and implementation of benefits and cost tracking, monitoring and reporting for strategic initiatives.
- Prepare clear, concise and timely benefits and cost reporting, driving alignment to a single source of truth.
- Interrogate and validate proposed benefits and costs associated with strategic initiatives.
- Provide financial insights regarding the TO and strategic focus areas/initiatives to key stakeholders, including the ELT (e.g. CFO and CTO) and Workstream Leads.
- Coordinate with the Transformation Office, Strategy and Planning and Group Finance functions to ensure that strategic initiatives are appropriately included in budgeting, forecasting and 5-year planning processes.
This position is suited to an ambitious individual who has a curious and inquisitive mindset and is comfortable navigating ambiguity. Strong interpersonal skills are essential for building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. You should have a keen eye for detail and thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment supported by a high-calibre, experienced manager. Ideally, you have trained in a Big Four or mid-tier firm and are now seeking your second move into the industry.
Key Requirements
- CA/CPA qualified/equivalent
- Experience in a large, complex multi-disciplinary environment
- Experience with strategic investment evaluation and benefits management and reporting desirable
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills
