Safety, Quality and Innovation Manager Internal Medicine Services

Permanent part time opportunity to provide strategic leadership and advanced expertise relevant to National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (2nd Edition) (NSQHSS). The role will support staff within the Internal Medicine Program regarding strategic planning, quality and safety initiatives, service improvement and implementation, service evaluation, research, innovation, models of care development and workforce planning in collaboration with the Program Management Team and the TPCH Quality and Safety Team.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Implement, follow, and monitor the organisation's and work unit's defined service quality standards, occupational health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
  • Provide leadership in clinical governance within the Internal Medicine Services, including the implementation and maintenance of the National Safety and Quality Healthcare Standards to contemporary clinical practice, with evidence of associated review and evaluation processes.
  • Lead and participate in interdisciplinary clinical and service redesign and research initiatives within the Internal Medicine Services program and IMS' contribution to hospital and HHS specific services.
  • Support the strategic direction of the Internal Medicine Services by active contribution to planning and provision of high-level support and advocacy.
