Business Development / Key Account Manager (Sales) QLD/VIC/NSW

MegaChem (Australia) Pty Ltd, part of MegaChem Ltd, a Singapore-based specialty chemicals distribution company, is seeking a driven, dedicated & self-motivated Sales person to join the team. This role focuses on generating new business in chemical raw materials and building awareness of the MegaChem brand.

The Job:

Reporting to the General Manager, the key responsibilities include:

  • Drive Business Growth: Build and manage a pipeline of products using market knowledge, relationships, direct engagement, and focused marketing activities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Grow and maintain client portfolio, identifying opportunities for expansion and leveraging existing relationships for new business.
  • Market Intelligence: Analyze market trends, sales data, and competitor activities to strategize accordingly.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Customer service, supply chain, etc.) to align sales efforts with company goals.
  • Sales Administration: Prepare weekly reports on sales activities and customer visits, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

Key Skills Required:

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of the chemical industry, market trends, and customer requirements.
  • At least 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.
  • Experience in SAP helpful but not essential.
  • B2B sales experience in chemical-related applications.
