Recent advancements in the flagship project have prompted the continued development of the contracts and procurement function within the organization. The role will focus on the autonomous management of a variety of contracts across civil and construction works, naturally transitioning as the project matures.

Our client specializes in the exploration and extraction of rare earths for applications within electric vehicles, medical equipment, and other digital devices. Our client is looking to leverage the expected discrepancy in the supply and demand of rare earths with the impending integration of advanced technological products across the world.

Description

Due to the current stage of the project, the focus of the role will have the potential to shift from predominantly pre-award to end-to-end contract management. Therefore, the responsibilities of the role will include but will not be limited to the following:

  1. Previous experience and the ability to prepare, evaluate, and manage the tender and proposal process. This may include but is not limited to general tender documentation, pricing submissions, negotiations, term and conditions reviews, etc.
  2. The ability to draft and implement master/framework contracts with a variety of suppliers.
  3. The ability to review variations to regular standard terms and conditions and prepare responses as required to mitigate risk and liability whilst simultaneously achieving favorable commercial outcomes.

Profile

The successful individual will demonstrate the following:

  1. Previous experience managing the end-to-end contract process, ideally with a focus on civil or construction work.
  2. Demonstrated experience developing the maturity and efficiency of a procurement/contract function.
  3. Previous exposure to green-field projects.
  4. Qualifications within the construction, finance, or engineering would be highly regarded.

Located in the heart of the Perth CBD, a short walk from two train stations, our client is offering a full-time permanent position that would align well with an individual who thrives in ambiguity and is comfortable supporting the development of procurement and contract processes. The role will provide the opportunity to operate across the entire life-cycle of the contract with an immediate focus on civil works, but this will naturally shift as the project progresses.
