About the role

The Bega Dairy & Drinks Route Transport distribution network is crucial to our Logistics strategy. As our Transport Coordinator, you will play a key role in overseeing and enhancing the service to our customers while demonstrating agility in the way you work, and the ability to show resilience and forward thinking, with the customer at the heart of everything you do.

Located at our Mile End site 4 days a week and 1 day in Salisbury office, responsibilities will include providing daily operational control and leadership for Bega Dairy & Drinks Route Transport as well as critical reporting and monitoring of information to continually improve the Customer Experience. You will also be the 'go-to' person and daily point of contact for the delivery of feedback and coaching to Delivery Partners.

Please note this will be a full-time role, mainly on the night shift working from 10pm to 6am starting Sunday night. Rotation on agreed rhythm to maintain connection with Day Shift operations and wider Bega team.

Reporting to the Transport Leader you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring all Delivery Partners and Bega Route Transport meet Chain of Responsibility requirements
• Liaising with Transport Partners and Customer Service to resolve any delivery enquiries or issues
• Updating customer information i.e. windows and driver instructions in relevant systems
• Ensuring all Transport Partner drivers have arrived to site at allocated dock time
• Spot audit all Transport Partner drivers onsite i.e. vehicle checks and temperature checks

• Experience in a similar environment in logistics
• An in-depth, working, knowledge of local or national Transport Chain of Responsibility legislation is needed
• Experience using SAP, TMS systems and Excel will be a great advantage
• Exposure to FMCG and Cold Chain environments or experience in Distribution Centres or warehousing is highly desirable
• Ability to work autonomously, process improvement mindset, and keen to learn and develop
