Our client is Melbourne's leading renter's advocacy group providing long-term accommodation options. We are thrilled to offer an exceptional leadership opportunity withthisfast-growing company that is transforming the leasing industry. As their recruitment partner, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and dynamic leader to step into the role of Head of Department in the vibrant St Kilda area, surrounded by local amenities.

In this key role, you will lead and inspire the property management and maintenance teams while shaping the future success of the business. Our client partnerswith Real Estate agents, focusing on the evolution of fully furnished leasing, modernizing traditional executive leases with an emphasis on flexibility and quality.

As the Head of Department, you’ll play a crucial role in expanding their unique approach while driving growth and innovation. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking leader to join an industry-shaping business at the cutting edge of property management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the property management and maintenance teams, challenging the status quo and drive new heights for the business.
  • Mentor and support individuals within the company to help them thrive.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to evolve the business development strategy.
  • Build relationships with key real estate agency partners.
  • Oversee the company’s financial performance, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability.
  • Implement and refine property management strategies while supporting team development.
  • Oversee the listing, tenant applications, and vacancy processes for both existing and new properties.
  • Handle escalated tenant enquiries from the property management team.
  • Present and pitch new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Attend property viewings with potential clients to drive business growth.
  • Work closely with the property management team to ensure smooth operations across all properties.
  • Manage the property portfolio using PropertyMe for efficient administration and tenant account management.
  • Supervise the property services team to ensure all inspections, reports, and maintenance are completed promptly and to a high standard.
  • Assist themaintenance team in resolving furnishing or utility issues within properties.
  • Explore and implement new business opportunities, including furniture wholesale, styling, and real estate tech innovations.

Qualifications:

  • Must have an Agents Representative Certificate.
  • Experience working in a similar role of up to 5+ years experience.
  • Unafraid to challenge the norm and take calculated risks.
  • You’ll thrive in a role where enthusiasm and passion for what you do are key.
  • Demonstrated experience and a history of excelling in property management or leadership roles.
