About the role

At Revolut, we do Ops differently. Our hyper-talented banking operations experts don't just keep things ticking over. They're given the most complex, hard-to-solve problems in the business. Then they create elegant, scalable solutions that keep pace with our ambitious growth plans.

The Branch team is responsible for making sure the branch is fully compliant with local and European regulations, and offering the best products and service to our customers. The team works alongside a range of departments within Revolut Bank and Revolut Group. You'll be an A player who'll lead this team and Revolut Bank's branch activities in Austria.

We're looking for a Strategy & Operations Manager to help us solve the toughest problems in our global fintech. Someone to roll up their sleeves and dive into every area of our business to help millions of customers worldwide.

What you'll be doing
  • Acting as a key stakeholder in the Austrian branch
  • Building and optimising scalable processes to continue Revolut's hyper-growth
  • Overseeing the 1st line of defence functions of the branch, including governance, interactions with regulators, and oversight of BAU operations
  • Providing adequate oversight and accountability with respect to outsourced functions
  • Executing scale operations and working with cross-functional teams (Finance, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, Communications, etc.) across our global offices
  • Monitoring country-specific risk incidents, conduct issues, and their resolution timelines, and liaising with the relevant service owners to ensure proper controls
  • Identifying key product, operational, licensing, and growth opportunities for Revolut
  • Searching for new features to provide a seamless customer experience
  • Managing critical vendor relationships and building performance tracking systems
  • Developing strategic supply chain partnerships and negotiating commercial terms
  • Running support organisations, managing relationships with critical stakeholders, and consistently hitting SLAs
  • Creating and maintaining management information for monitoring of growth metrics, risk incidents, and branch activities
  • Coordinating regulatory inspections, creating and providing necessary materials to facilitate them
What you'll need
  • At least a 2:1 degree from a top university
  • 3+ years of experience in a fast-paced environment, ideally financial services or management consulting in the Austrian market
  • Fluency in English and German
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts
  • Experience managing risk, navigating compliance, and outsourcing operations
  • A solid track record of taking ownership and leading complex projects end to end
  • The skill to break complex problems into smaller ones
  • A natural curiosity and willingness to make an impact

  • Experience working with regulators
  • Experience setting up a branch in Austria
Compensation range
  • Austria: €93,500 - €110,000 gross annually*
  • Other locations: Compensation will be discussed during the interview process

*Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate's qualifications, skills, and previous experience
