As a representative of the Inorganic Mass Spectrometers sales team you will collaborate with colleagues all over the world and help our customers to succeed by enabling them to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.


We are looking for a pro-active team member to lead sales of the IOMS portfolio in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Sales Representative role maintains effective and long-lasting customer relationships, develops opportunities for strategic growth of the territory and works collaboratively to provide outstanding support and customer experience.

The commercial IOMS role is the primary point of contact and provides sales expertise, scientific solutions, and helps drive all IOMS commercial activities within the territory.


Supported Products:

IR-MS Mass Spectrometers | Thermo Fisher Scientific - including the MC-ICPMS, TIMS, Gas Isotope Mass Specs (Delta, 253, EA-Isolink, GC-Isolink, LC-Isolink, Gas Bench), HR-ICPMS, and GDMS.


Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Build positive relationships and work to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction
  • A strong customercentric demeanor is very important
  • Lead the strategic direction for the territory; Develop sales strategies to meet plan and expand business within assigned territory; maintain a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives
  • Be aware of and adaptable to the conditions that affect the business, including competition, customers, and markets
  • Function as a member of the global IOMS team, working with sales, factory, marketing, service, and commercial colleagues
  • Function independently and authoritatively. Responsible for handling personal expense budget, travel arrangements, and sales funnel
  • A willingness to travel is important

Key to Success:

  • Ph.
D. or MSc Degree in Geology, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent is helpful

  • First sales experience preferred, but not necessary
  • Fluent German and English language skills are mandatory
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
