People Operations Specialist

We are searching for a People Operations Team Lead to join our dynamic People & Culture team, focusing mainly on the Austrian business. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the employee lifecycle, ensuring a positive and enriching employee experience. Your key responsibilities include managing a team, driving HR initiatives, and aligning with organizational goals to foster a vibrant and productive workplace culture. Additionally, you will lead a team of 3 Specialists through an ongoing P&C-wide change process, emphasizing effective communication, continuous improvement, and guiding people through transitions.
This role commences as a 12-month fixed term contract, offering a fantastic opportunity to thrive in a diverse, international company, gaining valuable experience and professional development support.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and nurture a team of People Operations Specialists.
- Provide consistent feedback, conduct performance evaluations, and offer career development opportunities.
- Cultivate a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
HR Operations Management:
- Supervise and ensure the seamless execution of HR processes and administration.
- Instill and uphold HR policies and procedures in accordance with Austrian labor laws.
- Identify and implement process enhancements to boost HR operational efficiency.
- Champion automation and digitalization of HR processes wherever feasible.
- Utilize HR analytics and metrics for decision-making and tracking progress against HR objectives.
- Ensure adherence to local labor laws, data protection regulations, and company policies.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee queries and issues, offering guidance and support.
- Manage employee relations cases, including conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
- Promote a positive workplace culture.
HR Projects and Initiatives:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organization-wide projects.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of HR experience, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Experience in handling employee relations cases and conflict resolution.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Austrian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Proficiency in HRIS and other HR management software.
- Capacity to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
Working Conditions:
- Possible occasional travel within Austria may be required.
- Hybrid work arrangements in line with the company's policies.

Compensation and Rewards:

- The minimum salary disclosed for this position due to legal reasons is €gross per year based on full-time employment. The actual salary offered will be higher, depending on qualifications and experience.
