Research Laboratory Scientist: Cancer Immunology

The position:

Your tasks and responsibilities:

  • Cell culture, handling of human tumor cell lines
  • Design, develop and implement cellular immune cell assays based on human primary Tcells and Tcell lines
  • Perform multicolour flow cytometry analysis and sorting of different cell populations via FACS
  • Proteinmeasurement assays such as ELISA, Western Blot
  • Independent execution, evaluation and documentation of experiments

Requirements:

  • A degree in biology/biochemistry or equivalent (M.Sc.)
  • Strong expertise in cell culture techniques is required
  • Prior experience in isolation and culture of human primary immune cells, with a background in Tcell biology a strong advantage
  • Previous experience with immune cell based assays and immunological techniques (e.g. multicolour flow cytometry, cell sorting with FACS, ELISA, Western Blot) an advantage
  • Ability to independently plan, execute, evaluate and document experiments
  • Teamoriented with good communication and English language skills

The minimum gross annual salary according to the collective bargaining agreement for this position is EUR 43, full time), although the actual salary is based on your technical skills and personal competencies as well as your professional experience.
