Your workplace

:

The Department of Functional and Evolutionary Ecology is part of the Faculty of Life Sciences. It is active in both research and teaching in the field of ecology (incl. teacher's education).

You will be member of a research and teaching team with a focus on biodiversity, symbioses, metabolic pathways, ecophysiology and ecosystem functioning with a special focus on global change.

The teaching area covers autecological aspects of single species to ecosystems. As a Senior Lecturer, your teaching responsibilities will be mainly in aquatic ecology. We are looking for people who consider a university teaching position as an interesting and highly rewarding career option.

What we expect

  • Master's or diploma degree in ecology, zoology or conservation biology and biodiversity management (ideally with a focus on freshwater biology/evertebrates)
  • Several years of independent teaching at a postsecondary educational institution
  • Didactic competences (incl. blended learning)
  • IT user skills (MS Office)
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • You should be a team player with high social skills

The basic salary of EUR 3277,30 (on a full-time basis) increases if we can credit professional experience.
