  • In Chemicals & Materials, OMV through its subsidiary Borealis, is one of the world's leading providers of advanced and circular polyolefin solutions and a European market leader in base chemicals and plastics recycling. Together with its two major joint ventures
  • Borouge (with ADNOC, in the UAE and Singapore) and Baystar (with TotalEnergies, in the USA)
  • Borealis supplies products and services to customers across the globe. OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.
  • Our businessYour Tasks
  • Embedded in an advancedthinking and innovative team you setup, maintain and control the Project Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) and Electronic Communication Management System (ECMS) for major capital projects, like Aconex, SharePoint, etc.
  • You provide expertise to project management and act as interface between EPC(m) contractors and internal project team.
  • Managing and instructing the Project Document Control team on document work processes, tracking, reporting, expediting, and archiving within the electronic document management systems challenges your crosslinked thinking and requires empathy.
  • You contribute to the development and documentation of a comprehensive strategy for projects, workflows, processes, and procedures related to Project Electronic Document Management Systems.
  • Furthermore, you communicate complex Document Control solutions and translate project requirements into functions provided by the EDMS.
  • With issuing instructions to engineering contractors as well as own company, related to the use of documentation software and develops methods to organize and control final document handover packages you show negotiation talent and networking skills.
  • Management of user access rights and conduction of user trainings virtually or on project site for Engineering teams and Document Controllers belongs to your job profile as well.
  • Finally, you coordinate with the Department Manager regarding staffing plans for projects to ensure appropriate staffing levels for document controls.
Your Profile

  • You hold a university degree in IT, business Informatics, project management or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • With at least 7 years of relevant professional experience with an Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS) project or as a project controls function you are known as an expert in your field of expertise.
  • With approximately 12 years' work experience in document controls/project controls within a Project Management Office setting, a university degree is not required.
  • You show excellent specific software skills (e.g., Oracle's Aconex, SharePoint or equivalent EDMS).
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills are natural for you.
  • The ability to work with a multicultural globally dispersed team across time zones is essential for this position.
  • Furthermore, you are internationally flexible and willing to travel as required by the projects.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English/German (min. B2) complete your profile.
