Director Technical Product Development - R&D RRP (f/m/d)

What will you do?

You will

  • Work as a key member of the global R&D RRP Product Development team, based in Vienna to provide leadership to design, development, verification/validation and implementation for reduced risk products
  • Lead the development and improvement of RRP products ensuring that products meet regulatory requirements, cost targets and internal guidelines/processes/procedures for safety and quality
  • Lead activities within the Product Development team ensuring clear prioritization and ownership of projects
  • Oversee and manage product development budgets
  • Ensure that all activities are aligned with other JTG RRP Development Centers to optimize performance
  • Actively seek to maximize IP generation
  • Recruit, motivate and guide the professional development of your team

Who are we looking for?

You have

  • A university degree (FH/Uni) in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or closely related major engineering disciplines
  • Min. of 3 years of leadership of projects in a multidisciplined R&D product development role (preferably in the consumer electronics industry)
  • Experience of working in an agile organization is highly desirable, ideally within a Quality Management System framework
  • Proficiency in the following fields are highly appreciated: Product Design, Product Development, Product Verification & Validation, Quality Management System, budget planning, leadership
  • Fluent in English (skills in German desirable; Japanese or Mandarin/Cantonese skills are an extra plus)
