We are seeking an experienced Accountant and Billing Specialist for our team (full-time) based in Vienna

Accountant & Billing Specialist (all genders)
located in Austria, remote work possible


As an Accounting and Billing Specialist, you will support the finance team, manage the entire invoicing process, collaborate internally, and maintain financial records.


What you will be doing:

  • Manage the endtoend invoicing process, ensuring accurate and timely issuance of invoices to clients/customer
  • Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary information for invoice creation and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Maintain a meticulous record of financial transactions, invoices, and payments in the accounting system
  • Assist in monthend and yearend closing activities, including preparing financial reports and reconciling accounts
  • Work closely with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis initiatives
  • Respond to inquiries from clients/customers regarding invoicing and billing matters in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements

What you will need to succeed:

  • Your passion is accounting, and you bring a completed education and specific practical professional experience (approximately 3-5 years) in this field
  • Proficiency in accounting software BMD
  • Strong understanding of financial principles (UGB), accounting procedures, and invoicing best practices
  • Strong analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • In Excel, you are a real pro and like to work with numbers on a daily basis
  • Ability to show initiative, strategic and creative problemsolving skills
  • Excellent knowledge of German (spoken and written)
  • Good English knowledge (spoken and written)
  • English is our company language
