Position Overview:

qtlabs is looking for a highly skilled and motivated

Senior Quantum Key Distribution Expert (f/m/x)
with extensive experience in QKD systems and their security proofs, to join our team
in Vienna, Austria.

Your key responsibilities at qtlabs:

  • Research, design, and implement stateoftheart Quantum Key Distribution systems.
  • Develop, analyze, and evaluate the security proofs of existing and proposed QKD protocols.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest advancements in quantum cryptography and related fields.
  • Contribute to research publications and intellectual property development.
  • Consulting clients in how to migrate a quantum safe cyber infrastructure.

Your core competencies:

  • Ph.
D. in Theoretical Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science preferably with a focus on quantum information and quantum cryptography.

  • Extensive experience in the field of Quantum Key Distribution, including a track record of research and development.
  • Profound knowledge of various QKD protocols and their associated security proofs.
  • Strong expertise in cryptography, including cryptographic primitives and algorithms.
  • Basic knowledge of coding theory is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work independently.
  • A strong publication record in reputable scientific journals is a plus.
