Your personal sphere of play

The Institute of Musicology at the University of Vienna was founded by Guido Adler in 1898.

With its four chairs (of Medieval and Rennaisance Music History, New Music History, Ethnomusicology and Systematic Musicology), 12 academic staff members, lecturers, project staff, administrative staff and 900 students it ranks among the largest musicological institutes in the German-speaking world.

We are looking for a personality with a focus on New Music History, especially on 19th and 20th century music for reserach as well as for teaching.


Your future tasks

:

Active participation in research, teaching & administration, which means:

  • You build up an independent research profile in the field of 19th and 20th century music.
  • You publish internationally and give lectures.
  • You hold courses independently within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
  • You take on administrative tasks in research, teaching and administration.

  • Outstanding dissertation
