voestalpine High Performance Metals GmbH is the parent company of the voestalpine High Performance Metals Division in the voestalpine Group.

We are the global market leader for tool steel and a leading provider of high-speed steel, valve steel, and other products made of special steels, as well as powder materials, nickel-based alloys, and titanium.

Via our global sales & distribution network we provide our customers also with leading vacuum heat treatment, coating and metal 3D printing services.

The most important customer segments are the automotive, oil and natural gas exploration, and mechanical engineering industries as well as the consumer goods and aerospace industries.

The team consists of experts in the area of Data Science & AI, Industrial IoT, Automation & Robotics, and Sensors.

Job descriptionJob description***- Be a substantial part of the development of our KPI landscape

  • Take over research and contribute to the analysis of wellrecognized circularity indicators from various organisations/institutes (e.g. Ellen MacArthur Foundation, public institutions, etc.)
  • Identify the most relevant and fitting circularity indicators measuring the activities at the division and provide your own recommendations to the team
  • Gain insights into our production and service processes, including the up
- and downstream value chain

  • Support us in structuring a coherent market overview and jointly working together on competition and market research with the Circular Economy team
  • Prepare your own presentation materials and documents for your assigned tasks


You should ultimately support in the selection of KPIs that monitor our ongoing circular economy activities and contribute to general market and competition research.

As part of the circular economy team, you will i.a. also work together with colleagues from Data Science and Market Research.
**Qualifications

QualificationsQualifications***- Bachelor student (min. 4 semesters completed) or master student, ideally in the fields of economics/international business, environmental engineering/resource management

  • Strong interest in the area of sustainability, material loops and circular economy
  • Ability to understand complex information, identify and structure relevant findings
  • Experience within the process industry (steel industry, chemical, etc.) and/or manufacturing is benefical
  • Professional experience in an international group and/ or consulting is beneficial

Languages:

  • Business profession in German and English

IT:

  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, OneNote), JIRA/Confluence is beneficial

Personal skills:

  • Strong analytical skills, affinity to work with numbers
  • Handson mentality and structured approach
  • Ability to effectively communicate on different hierarchy levels
