Company Description:

The Red Bull Athlete Performance Center (APC) is an athlete accelerator where we help Red Bull athletes to become truly outstanding performers. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a courageous and analytical sport scientist.

In this position you will plan, organize and execute various biomechanical diagnostics, processes and interpret datasets. You will build clear and concise reports, and present a sport scientific interpretation of data in an empathetic way to influence training and therapeutic practice positively within an interdisciplinary team. In addition, you will work on innovative new concepts and ideas through the processing and analysis of existing data sets related to ongoing R&D projects at the APC.

Conducting biomechanical diagnostics

  • 3D movement analysis
- force plates

  • EMG
- plantar pressure distribution
- isokinetic dynamometry
- inertial sensors
- force velocity profiling

Software development
- processing, analysis and compression of data
- graphical representation of data
- data organization
- maintenance of existing codes

Creating reports and presentations
- sport scientific interpretation of data
- translation of the results into clear recommendations for therapy and training

Project responsibility
- development and implementation of novel testing devices and protocols
- literature research
- requirements-, time
- and quality management
- leading and assisting in the data analytic processes in ongoing R&D / Science projects

Qualifications:

  • Practical experience in biomechanical diagnostics (movement analysis, force plates, EMG, plantar pressure distribution, isokinetic dynamometry, inertial sensors, force velocity profiling) with elite athletes in both performance and rehabilitation.
  • Experience in data processing and analysis.
  • Welldeveloped computer programming experience (MATLAB, Python and/or R preferred, Vicon Nexus/Polygon).
  • Strong communication skills within the team and towards athletes and coaches and practical experience with interpretation of biomechanical parameters to ensure data transfer into training and therapy.
  • Critical thinker and problemsolver.
  • Teamplayer who enjoys working within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Mathematical and technical background.
  • Skills in machine learning, datamining and databases.
