Safety Programmes and Promotion Expert
DHL Air (Austria) GmbH is a new cargo airline founded in 2021 and is a subsidiary of DHL Group.
The prime focus of the airline is to operate for the EU network with a fleet of Boeing 757/767 aircraft.
The headquarters of the airline is in Vienna and the main crew base is currently in Leipzig, delivering our customer promise of Excellence.

The Safety Programmes and Promotion Expert is responsible for the delivery, maintenance and continuous improvement of DHL Air Austria safety programmes including the Emergency Response Plan and Peer Support Program.
The role also has a key focus on safety promotion topics, including development and oversight of all training under the scope of the safety department as well as devising promotional concepts and being responsible for their delivery.
The role is also responsible for the oversight of safety-related projects as well as safety inputs on company-wide projects, working with departmental staff to assist in the delivery of such projects.
- Management and control of safety promotional related activities, initiatives and projects
- Management administration and control of ORG-OM02 Emergency Response Manual
- Management, administration and control of the safety related training under the scope of the Safety Department
- Company product owner of FACT24, Emergency Response Notification System
- Coordinator and product owner of ORG (Safety) documentation in Webmanuals
- Represent the company on the EASA airline safety promotion group 'Conversation Aviation'
- Supports documentation and implementation of relevant ISARPS for IOSA certification
YOUR TASKS:
- The development of maintenance of the company Emergency Response Plan, including ORG-OM02 Emergency Response Manual, rooting the concept in best practice
- Create training materials and deliver initial and recurrent Emergency Response Training in accordance with the OMM
- Responsible for oversight of the Peer Support Programme including the administration and control of the associated policy
- Development, maintenance and oversight of all training course content within the scope of the Safety Department
- Delivery of safety related training (with the scope of the Safety department)
- Point of contract for all ORG (safety) related content in Webmanuals, being responsible for content creation and upkeep of existing documentation
- The coordination, oversight and management of departmental projects and providing project management support to the Senior Director Safety on safety related elements of company wide projects
- Devising suitable strategies for enhancing safety promotion within the company and working to deliver the associated initiatives
- Working with departmental colleagues to develop safety related surveys, providing analysis of results and collaborating on follow up action
YOUR PROFILE:
- Holds an undergraduate degree or comparable relevant professional work experience
- 5 years of relevant work experience of which at least 2 years should be experience in an airline environment, holding a similar role
- Demonstratable project management experience
- Knowledge of the applicable EU safety regulations and any associated requirements and procedures
- Familiarity with management systems, preferably in the area of aviation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and able to build effective working relationships across all levels
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure, managing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Procifient in the use of digital tools
- English language proficiency
- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
- Permission to work within EU
