The employment contract is initially limited to 1.5 years and will be automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer declares non-renewal after a minimum of 12 months.

Acceptance into a suitable doctoral school will be targeted.

Your future tasks

:

The position is assigned to the research area of the professorship of school pedagogy with special regard to secondary education (Univ.
Prof. Dr. Nele Kampa).

The prae-doc position is located in the project Heterogeneity in the Classroom (HeKla), which investigates the impact of competency-based instruction for students of all achievement levels and backgrounds.

The focus is on the quality of teaching and instruction in lower secondary schools. The project includes a comprehensive quantitative study in several states.

Collaboration in research, teaching and administration is expected:

  • Participation in research projects / in scientific studies
  • Conducting a quantitative study under supervision (conception, implementation, survey, analysis)
  • Participation in publications / scientific articles / lecturing activities
  • Completion of a dissertation agreement within 1218 months is expected
  • Independent teaching of courses to the extent of the provisions of the collective agreement
  • Supervision of students
  • Participation in the organization of meetings, conferences, symposia
  • Participation in the administration of the institute, teaching, and research

This is part of your personality

:

  • Interest in topics of school and classroom research, especially on heterogeneity topics
  • General didactic abilities in teaching knowledge, skills and abilities
  • High level of written and oral expression
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • IT user skills
  • Ability to work in a team

Preferred are:

  • Teaching experience / experience with elearning
  • Knowledge of university processes and structures
  • International experience abroad
  • First experiences in scientific work
