  • Borealis supplies products and services to customers across the globe. OMV's Fuels & Feedstock business produces and markets fuels as well as feedstock for the chemical industry, operates three refineries in Europe, and holds a 15% stake in a refining joint venture in the UAE. OMV operates around 1,700 filling stations in eight European countries. In the Energy segment, OMV explores and produces oil and gas in the four core regions of Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa, North Sea, and Asia-Pacific. Average daily production in 2022 amounted to 392 kboe/d. Its activities also include the Low Carbon Business as well as the entire gas business.

    Your tasks
  • The purpose of the position is leading the ReOil technology endoflife plastics feedstock technical development and feedstock pretreatment technology team.
  • Lead, manage, drive, and execute the ReOil feedstock development, the feedstock pretreatment process technology development and validation, and drive the scaleup of processes and/or special equipment.
  • Execute focus on the experimental verification and the development, evaluation, design, and engineering of ReOil feedstock and new feedstock pretreatment technologies to industrial scale as well as on the understanding of stateoftheart pretreatment processes.
  • Drive related developmental CAPEX projects and cross functionally interact with Circular Economy business and project management.
  • Manage cross functional projects with external partners.
  • Drive the identification, development and implementation of new feedstocks and feedstock pretreatment technologies including the respective process scale up/rollout concept for OMV's ReOil feedstock and pretreatment technologies and identify and develop integration opportunities of feedstocks and feedstock pretreatment technology into ReOil facilities.
  • Drive and manage feedstock projects at internal and external pilot, demo and industrial plants.
  • Optimize and further develop processes and equipment in the related area.
  • Plan personnel and financial resources/budgets in the area of responsibility.
  • Lead and develop a team of highly educated engineers with various experience levels.
  • Drive and ensure OMV HSSE standards in all activities.
  • Create new IPR.

Your profile

  • You have a master's degree in mechanical engineering, waste management, chemical engineering, environmental technology, or process engineering.
  • You have minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Understanding of technical and commercial aspects of endoflife plastics feedstock processing and equipment.
  • Very good understanding and experience with process scale up and state of the art processes.
  • Analytical, creative, and innovative thinking to develop new solutions.
  • Welldeveloped network and relationships in related areas e.g., universities and institutions.
  • Proven track record of delivering results.
  • Experience with Intellectual Property Rights.
  • Fluency in German and English.
