This role plays a key part in extending our Ruby Agent offering by implementing new features, changes and improvements to our Ruby Agent - written in C, C++ and Ruby.

Your role
- Development of performance and availability monitoring solutions for Ruby applications
- Working primarily with Ruby and C++ (for native extensions).
- Analyzing and understanding the inner workings of common Ruby gems
- Gazing beyond common frameworks and gems with a deep understanding of Ruby
- Independent design and implementation of new features and feature ownership
- Intensive cooperation with local and international development teams
Profil
What will help you succeed
Technical Qualifications
- Several years of experience as a Software Engineer with Ruby (priority) and C++.
- Knowledge of OpenTelemetry is a plus
- Knowledge of different Ruby interpreters CRuby/JRuby is a plus.
- Knowledge of Ruby native extensions and FFI is a plus.
- Experience publishing Ruby Gems is a plus.
- Ability to focus on details but keep the mind open for the whole ecosystem
- Team player and eager to learn innovative technologies

Compensation and rewards

- Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary for this position, which is €56,000gross per year based on full-time employment. We offer a higher salary in line with qualifications and experience.
