The main tasks at this position are:


  • Modeling and understanding the degradation of SiC power devices under DC, unipolar AC, and bipolar AC stress

Discretization of differential equations
-
Implementation of the model in an open source Python tool (Comphy)

Advanced characterization of electrical characteristics
-
Charge trapping, defect creation, and defect transformation:


  • Characterization of interface and oxide defects in SiO2/SiC structures
You are best equipped for this task if you have:


  • Completed PhD study in the field of physics or electrical engineering
-
Interest in coding, numerical methods, solid-state physics, wide bandgap semiconductors as well as oxides
-
Very good English skills written and spoken, preferably also German skills
